At Warstones, we are deeply committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. We provide a nurturing environment where all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), are supported to reach their full potential.

We believe that Responsibility, Kindness, Resilience, Respect, and Aspiration are the foundation of a welcoming and supportive school community. These values guide everything we do, especially in our SEND provision.

Dedicated Staff: Every member of our team is passionate about meeting the unique needs of all learners. Through ongoing training and collaboration, both within and outside of the Lykos Trust, our staff are equipped to provide tailored support that helps children overcome barriers to learning.

Working Together with Families: We recognise that the best outcomes for children come from strong partnerships between school and home. We actively involve families in planning and reviewing support, ensuring that every child’s voice is heard and their needs fully understood.

Inclusive Environment: Our Deaf Resource Base and internal provisions ensure that children with a wide range of needs receive expert support within the heart of our school community. We promote an atmosphere where all children feel respected and valued for who they are.

How We Support Our SEND Learners

At Warstones Primary School, we provide a broad spectrum of support tailored to individual needs, including:

  • Personalised Learning Plans: Each child with SEND has a bespoke learning plan developed in partnership with parents and professionals.

  • Specialist Interventions: Targeted support is available for communication, social skills, physical development, and emotional well-being.

  • Access to Resources: Our resources and facilities are adapted to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.

  • Regular Monitoring: We continuously assess progress and adapt support to promote resilience and aspiration.

Partnering for Success

We encourage parents and carers to be active partners in their child’s education. Your insights and involvement are vital as we work together to create an environment where every child can flourish. We host regular meetings and workshops to share strategies and celebrate achievements.

If you would like to learn more about our SEND provision or discuss how we can support your child, please contact our SENDCO, Emma Bayliss, via the school office. We welcome visits and conversations to help you feel confident that Warstones Primary School is the right place for your child’s journey.

“Every child matters, every voice is heard, every learner is valued.”
